Chemistry Career Week

Next week is the 3rd edition of Proton's Career Week!
Tuesday the 26th of February, from 13:00-18:00 is the Chemistry Career Day. The day will be kicked off by Eelco Vogt, who will give a short lecture about important choices in career orientation and the start of your career. Next, you have the option of participating in one of four interesting workshops where you have the opportunity to work on several important soft-skills! The day will be completed with the company fair, where 10 different chemical and chemistry related companies will be represented. Broaden your network and make connections for possible internships at the social drinks afterwards. More info here!
For Thursday, February 28th we invited two employees of Hoyng Rokh Monegier. They will give a lecture about their experiences working for this company on patent-rights. This company is a different career perspective for chemists who are not sure they want to end up in research. Free drinks afterwards!

Smoelenboek

Het Smoelenboek, een boekje vol met foto's en stukjes van alle mentorgroepjes van de introductie, is nu voor alle eerstejaars Scheikunde gratis op te halen op de Protonkamer!
Gelukkig nieuwjaar!

De discussie of het nog mag is al in volle gang, maar wij willen jullie gewoon nog een gelukkig nieuwjaar toewensen! 2019 is niet zomaar een jaar, maar het internationale jaar van het periodiek systeem. Na wat hopelijk een fijne vakantie was moeten we toch echt weer aan het werk, maar dat hoeft natuurlijk niet te betekenen dat er helemaal geen tijd meer is voor leuke dingen. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld morgenavond ontspannen bij de Nieuwjaarslezing die gegeven zal worden door de allereerste voorzitter van Proton! Regardless of whether people think it's still okay or not, we'd like to wish you a happy New Year! 2019 isn't just any year, it's the International Year of the Periodic Table. After what was hopefully a very pleasant holiday we really have to get back to work. However, that doesn't mean there can't be any time for fun. For example, tomorrow night the New Year's Lecture will be given by the very first president of Proton! Gedragscode ondertekend

Op 18 oktober is de nieuwe gedragscode van de Universiteit Utrecht getekend door het bestuur. De inhoud van deze gedragscode is hier te vinden. Naar aanleiding van het tekenen hebben Hidde en Just Pé samen met een aantal andere studieverenigingen meegedaan aan een interview met de DUB. Dit interview is hier te lezen.
On the 18 of October the new code of conduct of Utrecht University was signed by the board. The contents of this code of conduct can be found here. Just and Hidde participated in an interview with the DUB, which can be read here.
De Eerstejaarstruien zijn er!
