Proton International

Proton International is a committee consisting of 7 students who organize an annual study trip for chemistry of Utrecht University. During this trip the participants can discover chemistry in another country, showing them possibilities to study or even work abroad.

In the past years, we went to Prague, Singapore, Canada, Sweden and Switzerland and in April 2025 we traveled with a group of 24 students to Iceland. Companies and university research groups in Iceland opened their doors to us and enabled us to discover the chemistry and culture over there. We have met many interesting researchers and students who enthusiastically told us about their research, showed us around their laboratories and answered our eager questions about life in Iceland.
